So my son's dad is an ass. I'm not exaggerating, i promise. He left when I was 8 weeks I'm 25 weeks now! He hasn't made a single appointment. He calls to check on our son occasionally and has sent me food a couple times but that's it.

Today I get a message from him saying he wants to make things right and he asked to take me to dinner on friday. I didn't agree yet, I said I'd let him know by Wednesday. But this is so unlike him! We were together 2 years and I've known him 3. He's definitely not the perfect gentleman. A sweetheart, yes. But not the type to formally ask you on a date. And he never apologizes or admits he's wrong. I had my mind made up that we were done completely but this took me by surprise. Am I reading too far into this? Should I go just to see what's going on?
