Is it safe to have your baby at 36 weeks? I'm due October 10.

My hospital won't induce until 39 weeks now, stating that the full term date has changed due to continuing issues (percentage) that arise when baby is born before then. Before 37 weeks is preterm, 37 weeks is now considered early term, 38 - 41 weeks is considered term (39 being full term) and 42+ is considered post term.
All this being said, back in 2007 my son was  born from being induced at 37 weeks. He was fine but had a BIG issue keeping down food for the first year of his life and he was diagnosed with adhd. Apparently there is a valve that helps keep food down that was underdeveloped in him which could be attributed to being born before he was ready. All my other kiddos have been born 40 weeks + with no issues. 
I know every child is different and most turn out just fine but there are some factors that should be taken into consideration before inducing before baby is ready. ❤ 
If baby decides he/she is ready and makes an appearance sooner than later, I really wouldn't worry about it!! There really is so much truth to the saying, "when their ready, they are ready"

They won't stop labor but I wouldnt want him coming at 36. I'd prefer 38.

If your baby comes naturally at 36 weeks, everything will most likely be perfectly fine. However, if you're asking with the intent of inducing labor at 36 weeks, I cannot give you the same answer because that can cause problems on it's own depending on what you do.

They say full term is 37 weeks. But my brothers (who are twins) where born at 25 weeks and they survived and doing fine. Although they spent good bit of time in the NICU they are healthy. But i always say the baby will come when the baby wants to!(:

Are you in labor? It's not ideal until after 37 weeks but a lot of babies are born at 36 weeks and don't need to go to NICU. But that said, the longer the baby can stay in there the better.
