Due October 15th but induction Oct 10th possibly??

Sorry if this is long. So I went for my 35 wk appt today & I noticed my OB will be gone the 18th through like the 23rd & I mentioned it. The nurse proceeds to ask my doc if they should schedule me to be induced since my due date is so close. But I don't mind another doctor taking over, I REALLY don't want a C-section, which I've heard being induced early can cause & they keep pushing me to get an epidural which I've at least wrapped my head around. 
***Long story short- I do not want a C-section, reluctant to get an epidural, but I know pictonin (whatever it's called) makes labor harder. Should I tell my doctor I just wanna wait till baby's ready, regardless if he's there or not? ***

Yeah, if there is no medical reason I would most definitely wait.

Just wait until the babies ready. I was induced and it was harder but it was long and you're stuck in the hospital. Is much rather labor at home and come in when it's time. As far as an epidural my advice to keep an open mind. Go as long as you can without it...if you can handle the pain go for natural but no shame In getting one either.

If your comfortable for him not to be there it makes sense that you wait till baby is ready
