Can a cyst cause a false positive? I just heard back from my dr today that I have a corpus luteum cyst. Still a few days till AF, but I was curious and used one of my dollar store tests. Looks like a faint line to me. Really hope this is a real positive!

Just talked to my dr. and she said my cyst wouldn't cause a false positive. She wants me to come in tomorrow morning for a blood test, so we shall see. 5 months since I miscarried so praying for good news!🙏

The corpus luteum cyst is left after ovulation. If the egg is fertilized then the cyst secretes hcg. If not then it decays and sheds into the lining and will come with your AF. You might be prego:) good luck! That line is there test again in a few days to make sure it's positive.

I had a cyst when I was pregnant ... and it went away as the baby grew. I don't think cysts cause positive tests.... I've had a lot of cysts and no positive 🙃
