😍Six Month Hike! I Must Be Crazy! 😍

Hello active side of glow (and other app users)!!

Seven months from now I will embark on the adventure of a life time, a full 2,190 mile hike of the Appalachian Trail! For those of you that don't know, that's a six month hiking trip that goes from Georgia to Maine! I am so excited to get started on my mental and physical fine tuning preparations, that I just had to share and gather advice from my fellow thru-hikers/campers, cyclists, and climbers!

There is so much to do and I feel like I have hardly any time to truly prepare!!

Does anyone know of online (or local if in the central Texas area??) classes for first aid, basic-advanced camping courses, survival classes, ect?

Has anyone ever taken a handgun class? Like to get the license and what not. Can you take a class for a nationwide concealed handgun?

I am bringing my nine month old lab to accompany me on this wondering adventure of mine! (Obviously she will be older in March when we leave!) Any advice or tips to keeping animals with you on a long camp trip/hike?

I've done most of the research available online and it's time for me to gather some knowledge from people that have experienced a trip similar to the one I am preparing for!
