Do you think the US media does a good job of reporting issues?

I tried keeping current via the regular channels, but can't find (real) news on things that interest me. On top of that, seeing them butchering their stories/interviews to portray their own agenda, has never been so eye opening.

Lately I have found the twitterverse much more appealing.

If any of you ladies or gents care to, you can follow @MissTweak2003 on twitter for info of current events, activists, rallies, protests, live streams, direct actions, and leaks, among some occasional randomness.

It depends on what you mean by "media". That's such a catch all term.

I mostly listen to NPR. They do a great job of covering current events in a comprehensive manner. Also, if no one knew, I'm a total nerd. 🤓

Hahaha NO. The media is so politically biased and full of it.... You can see the same event on two different news networks and basically hear a totally different story.

No. Whether our news is coming from TV, Twitter, the newspaper, etc., it is almost always half truth. The media makes out both candidates of our election much worse than they actually are, and others, much better than they actually are. It is obvious that depending what channel you use, it discriminates against certain types of people, especially whoever holds the opposite political view. I truly believe that our media is responsible for a LOT of the negativity in this country, as well as false information, over dramatized or overstretched truths, more violence, more separation, etc. The media knows that people can be indoctrinated and that those who aren't intelligent enough on their own to do their research will become zombies of social media, read the headlines, and make their (usually) poor decisions from there. People no longer think for them self.
