How long it took you to move on?
Im getting divorce idk what to do he cheated on me

We signed in 2012, finalized in 2013 (he had Second thoughts about it, so he held off on the final paper. Once that was signed and turned in, it took 2 weeks to get the final it's over and done papers) it's been 4 years since I signed and honestly I'm still not over it. I'm currently engaged to a wonderful man whom I've known since we were 14. While my life is significantly better and I'm so much happier, I'm still not over it. It's going to be a lifetime struggle for me. Not in the ways you'd think. My ex husband was abusive. At first verbally and emotionally then progressively more and more physical. Unfortunately the things he did and said will have a lasting effect on me. It gets a little better, but there are still days where it weighs much heavier on my mind. It's taken a lot for me to really open myself up to another person and I can't thank my fiancé enough for everything he's done and how understand he has been.

I got into a serious relationship a year after my divorce but it honestly took me about 3 to fully get over it. 
Take all the time you need, it's very taxing emotionally.

My husband & I met 3 weeks after his divorce was final, it was literally like God just set us in front of each other & said "Here you go, the one you've been waiting for." She left him after 10 years of marriage because she realized she was a lesbian. He was pretty gun shy about a lot of things & it hasn't always been easy (they share a child) but we love each other & work thru things, it may take u longer & u may have trust issues w/ whoever u move on w/ but if they're the one for u you'll make it work & come out sooo much happier in the end!
