I say the man eats first but it doesn't matter cause we all eat bt Ik my SO works really hard to provide so who cares if I fix his plate first bt on the flip side he usually doesn't start eating till I'm sitting down eating with him

My kids aren't old enough to fix their own plates, my husband is. We usually make the kids plates together, and once they are all settled and eating we make our plates and join them. I don't understand making a child, toddler, or infant a lesser priority than an adult when it comes to eating.

I work longer and harder hours than my husband does and we share household duties. He gets home before I do so he typically gets dinner started and I usually get home to help feed our 13 month old. I don't think I'm disrespecting him if I don't dish him up first, I think we are both grown adults who can dish ourselves up.

I fix my husband's then my daughter's and then mine that's how it's always been even when I was growing up that's how my grandparents did it

I make my youngest first to cool off, then make the other kids (youngest to oldest) then my husbands.... They all sit down and my husband has them wait on me to make my plate and sit... We all say the blessing together and start eating at the same time.... Don't see why one or the other should get to eat first and if so it should always be the children in my opinion... But me and my husband both think the same way when it comes to this and we will always make sure they eat even if there is not enough for us too!

My son will always get the first plate made and as im making everyone elses plate his sits and cools off then he eats as we eat

I feed my children first mostly because the always act as if their dying of starvation lol but I always fix their food first to let it have time to cool down in the freezer while I fix my husband and my plate then I give the kids theirs then my husband he never complains. He won't even start until their eating.
