Super itchy everywhere!!!

Okay for the past about week now I have been unbelievably itchy!! My belly*, my chest*, my back, my legs/feet and hands/arms, suddenly my jaw. I get these bumps on the places that are itchy as well, not like what comes up when I google pupps those look severe, but they almost look like little bug bites! I don't know what is causing this, I have gone to my doctor and just took the test for cholestasis or whatever but in the meantime has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to help the itch especially in the middle of the night (it's 4:45am here).
