Touchy subject

So I need help approaching a subject, so I quit going to youth at my church and started to stay in adult services because I feel like that's where god is leading me, well Wednesday my youth pastor came up to me and asked why I quit coming and asked if i hate him, well that hurt my feelings because I love him and his wife with all my heart they are like family to me more so then even some of my actual family and I want to express the fact that I feel like god is leading me to adult services for a reason unknown to me, but, I don't want to hurt his or his wifes feelings in the process
