What do you think of SpongeBob?

I'm 21 and grew up watching it, and admittedly I think it's funny even though it's childish. I quote it pretty often to my husband 😂 I noticed that a lot of people absolutely hate it or think it's gross/inappropriate for children.

I really dont see a problem with sponge bob I grew up watching it and I still do occasionally I think there are much more inappropriate children's TV shows that I will not allow my son to watch (most of the shows on cartoon network are absolutely horrendous)

My son is obsessed with spongebob right now, he even named our kitten spongebob. It has its adult humor and its moments but over all I don't mind him watching.

Honestly I would click all 3 if I could. My mom never let me watch it growing up, but now that I'm an adult I watch it every now and then when I don't want to think and just want to laugh. It's stupid, inappropriate, and hilarious!

I grew up watching Ren & Stimpy, Cow & Chicken, and Rocko's Modern Life.

When I watch them now, I cannot believe how inappropriate a lot of it was.

But that's the thing, as a kid I didn't recognize or really even noticed any of it.

I think they make cartoons for kids, but with us older folks in mind...so WHEN we have to endure hours of cartoons with our kids, we can at least relate to some of it and get our laugh on too!

SpongeBob has always been off limits for my kids and their dad knows that so of course as soon as we got divorced that's what they watch at his house. I think it's vile, vulgar, innapropriate, and just plain stupid. Studies have been done showing decreased brain function in relation to watching that show. It's one of the worst cartoons of all time. But that's just my "slightly" neurotic opinion on it! 😜

I never really cared for it honestly. But a lot of shows now are inappropriate. Even the titles are. Like "Uncle Grandpa" wtf were they thinking? My friends son watches a show on cartoon network, I don't know the name, but it's inappropriate. Not necessarily like Family Guy inappropriate, but not something I would let my son watch

I let my kids watch it I even watch it but my cousin use to always say SpongeBob was a bad influence well guess what her 15 yr old ended up pregnant so she needed to be concerned with other things other than cartoons

My mom, never let my siblings and I watch it growing up or other shows alike.
My wife on the other hand did watch it.

I don't think it's ABSOLUTELY stupid. But there is better things I'd rather my kids watch, but if for some reason, they find that they absolutely love this show... I would limit it, but let them watch it.
