I have genital HSV1. I've had it for about 6 years. The first outbreak was HORRIFIC and thankfully I've never had another one like it. I went for a long time only having mild symptoms. Do you know that twinge feeling you get when the nerve endings down there fire up? When I feel them, I do the "treatment" dosage as prescribed by my doctor...two pills a day for three days. A lot of the time I think I'm just paranoid. But for the last three months, this being the third, I've been feeling kinda "off" around that time of the month. So I'm beginning to think I should go with the daily plan...meds for prevention instead of treatment. Thing is I'd really like to be able to go to my fiancé for some sympathy when I feel bad. I just want to know that he would console me. But I don't want him to worry that he might get it, though he might , and I don't want him to "condemn" me for the poor choice I made before him. It's so hard to keep things from the person I most want to share everything with.
