pump or dont pump? Im 18 weeks." /> I am a ftm 18 weeks pregnant with twin boys. I didnt expect it to come till the end of my pregnancy but it came early. Right now its just colustrum i think but idk what to do. Im afraid if i just let it be my breasts will get full and itll hurt for the rest of my pregnancy. If i pump im afraid i will provoke my breasts into producing alot more milk. I heard pumping can cause contractions. I dont know what im suppose to do.

It's colostrum.. You won't make milk until several days after babies are born.. You won't get overly full of colostrum either. No point in pumping it at this point.. There is no real benefit to it.

Just colostrum, def will not fill your breasts. Even if you tried to pump now you'd get nothing. Been there, done that. Not to mention pumping/stimulating nipples causes the uterus to contract, definitely not a good idea.

Its normal to have a few drops I wouldn't worry at that early stage....I have started pumping at the end (I have my boys Thursday) because I want it to be there ready for them after the c section as I've heard it can take a bit longer than with a normal delivery....even at nearly 37 weeks I don't get much at all

If you pump it will mess up your first bit that the babies need to start out with and I have read it also makes you go into labor

Pumping while pregnant came sometimes cause contractions. Not something you want to mess with!

I have quite a lot of colostrum its not bother some but If I slightly squeeze my breast it will spill put, your breast will hurt because they preparing for not 1 but 2 baby's pumping could cause trigger contractions so I wouldn't do it :)

My dr strictly said no pumping until after babies are here! Can cause contractions and induce labor! Also colostrum is important to the baby the first few days anyway! There's a reason why milk doesn't come in right away!
