Sleepless 1 y.o

I'm going slightly insane. My son, who is a year & 2 months old does not yet sleep through the night. Is this normal? He still nurses. About 1 or 2 times a day briefly, then at night constantly. That keeps me up. How do I get him to sleep without having to nurse to sleep? He literally screamed his face off last night. Even my laid back never angry husband was annoyed last night. I can't live without sleep for one more night. Help anyone?!
