transition from RNP to crib?

Question

Anyone have specific tips of what they did and how long it took? We have a white noise machine, two monitors and a fan to make their nursery comfortable but we are having a hard time.

I'm in the process right now of doing the RNP to crib transition!! At first I was like let's just try it and put him in there at night.. well that didn't work he lasted maybe 20 min! Haha so what I started doing was making sure to put him in the crib for every nap so he got used to the crib and being in the room alone and then once he started taking good long naps in it I started him at night. Have a routine of feeding then rock him till he is almost asleep usually between 8-9pm then lay him down. The first few days he would sleep in it and when he would wake up to eat I would feed him and he wouldn't go back down in the crib so I would put him in he RNP for the rest of the night. And then after a few days would put him back in the crib after his bottle and then bring him in with us the second time he woke up. And now only bring him in with us after the 3 wake up. And soon that will be gone... just slowly transitioning him! But it's working! I don't have the best sleeper on my hands so he still wakes up about 3 times a night 😩 he is 5 months btw haha hope you find something that works for you! Good luck! Sorry for the novel! 😂

Took me a second to figure out what RNP was. Rock and play if I am correct.

Anyway it depends how old the baby is. I had my baby bed share with me for 9 months. And it took 2 days the first was the worst to move her into her crib in her room. If your baby is too young they really are not able to self smooth yet which is a problem.  One of the keys is having a routine and keeping it and also not having an overly tried baby.

I did a delicate version of cry it out. My daughter who has always been a pretty great sleeper now sleeps from 8p to 8a in her room. I then nurse her and she goes back to sleep usually till 930-10.
