When to start buying baby stuff.

So my mother started buying stuff for my sisters baby when she was 7 months pregnant. I dont want to start so late so my question is, when is the right time to start buying baby stuff? I am also doing the blood test to find out the sex of the baby soone.

TTM here and I can honestly say you can never be too prepared. I would start buying things as soon as the sex of the baby is confirmed. Don't rely on baby shower gifts and don't give in to the whole "if you baby baby stuff too early you curse yourself to miscarry!" Its total BS I tell you. I've bought stuff for my kids as soon as I found out I was pregnant because I've always had the feeling of knowing the gender and my babies are doing just fine 😊😊

Honestly I've been starting to buy a few packs of diapers of all sizes and some wipes and a few toys here and there as my pregnancy progresses it makes me feel good and makes me feel even more excited. What's also nice is my husband is all for it if I'm happy he is happy :)

Bought my first little outfit at 9 weeks "I was at target and there was a sale, I couldn't resist" but we're going to wait until 20 weeks to actually start buying anything. If we see something on sale we might pick up small things but that's about it

I guess I assumed I should wait til late, like week 30, or after any baby shower I might have, but you ladies are making me reconsider! 🤔

I would just wait till after the first trimester or if you are finding out the gender till after that. Just try to save some things for the baby shower.
