trying to conceive

me and my fiancé are trying for a baby my only down fall is that every time i ovulate the highest chances fall on a weekend and he likes to drink on the weekends, which means he's to drunk to have intercourse.. i have said to him to maybe not drink for just this weekend and obviously he took it the wrong way and we've argued over it.. am i over reacting? he wants a baby of his own so why can't he just do this one thing if it means that much to him ..
