Associates Degree Nursing Program!

Hi Im currently in my first semester of pre requisites in the anticipated allied health program at a small community college. I will be applying for the nursing program in March and just wanted some advice about GPA and the HESI test. People have told me you must have a 4.0 and score very high on the HESI to even be considered. Is this generally and/or averagely true? How does waiting lists work? Thank you in advance. :)
