sperm meets egg... late period?

Question

So unknowingly, my husband and I did the SME method last month. The timing of bd'ing matched the method. My cycles are usually short, 24-26 days. This cycle was 34 days. I was petty convinced up until today that we were successful but af showed up. Has anyone else had a late cycle after trying SME?

I'm not sure what sme is, I even googled it and found nothing lol. But my cycle is usually 23 days and periods aren't usually late, but last cycle af came 4 days late. I thought for sure I was pregnant. When she showed and I still got a bfn, I went to my doc. He thinks my progesterone is low and this would cause my weird spotting (brown) and late period. So this month I'll be taking progesterone to see if that works! Hope this helps! Good luck!
