36 weeks & 3 days! Question!

So this week starts my weekly check ups till baby girl is here! Do they check your cervix every time or do you have to ask to be checked? Last week I was checked and was 2cm dilated & 75% effaced and I've lost sooo much of my mucus plug with like 2 days of each other after that appointment. Also she's definitely down low putting tons of pressure down there and I'm always having I guess Braxton Hicks. So... Is early labor approaching me soon?
