Opinions please?

So my mother and I sat down a few minutes ago and was talking to make about how she thought I hid her prescription medicine. She is a drug addict. I have done it in the past when I was younger. My mother will misplace her medicine now and automatically think I took it. Well, I flat out told her that I'm not going to touch her medicine, I will just call the doctor who prescribed them and let him know what she is doing and he will stop prescribing them altogether. She won't even talk to me now, or look at me! I'm not sorry I said that but am I am in the wrong? Should I have kept my mouth shut? Please let me know what you think?
