I can't stop bleeding

So I had to go off of my birth control for a while for reasons. I had my period, which was super heavy and one of the most painful I've ever had. My period lasted almost a week and a half. I started the pills again and everything after, and I've been taking them for almost two weeks, but I'm still spotting and can't stop!! I haven't told my mom about it (I'm 16) because I had sex the other day and don't want her to find out... What should I do?? This has never ever happened before!!
