where did they propose?

Anyone have any funny, romantic or interesting stories on how and where they were proposed to by their S/O? If you're the one who proposed then I'd still love to hear the story! 
My friends fiancé proposed in an elevator 😂 they were the only ones in there and when they reached the floor after she said yes, confetti and flower petals were thrown around them

My husband got sober almost 7 years ago. In order to deviate from our normal drinking weekends, we would go to the beach a few times a week and walk for miles. He proposed to me on the beach in the spot where we always started walking. I was ahead of him looking for shells and he said that he had a real sparkling one. When I turned around he was on one knee with the ring in a shell. I don't think I could have asked for a more special proposal.

In bed lol we had been away for a romantic week end an he planned on asking me then. He couldnt work up the courage to do it. Just as i was about to fall asleep the night we got home he nudged me a blurted it out lol very cute i thought. He coulda picked any of the romantic locations we visited that week end but he picked our bed.

My Husband had the ring and was planning on taking me to the beach to propose by the sea under the stars. 
But excitement/nerves got the best of him and he ended up getting down on one knee in our living room!
I actually loved it because it was just "us". Like relaxing and being goofy :)
He later told me that he couldn't bare not having me as his fiancé for one Moment longer! ☺️

At a historical peninsula at our favorite place in the world. (We vacation at some turtle nesting grounds in Mexico yearly so we can volunteer.) He had hidden photographers, then two of our musician friends also came out with guitars and serenaded us with a rendition of "what a wonderful world", as we walked down the beach for a private candlelit-dinner in a palapa.

At the gun range, a place of one of our first dates and a favorite pastime of ours. He's a brave man to propose to a woman with a gun in her hand. 😆

We lived in a small town, took at least an hr and  a half to get any where.  My hubby found my dream truck at a dealership a couple hrs away. When he went to hand me the keys he got down on one knee and had my ring tied to them with a ribbon. There were 5 other people there from our home town just to buy that truck!!!  Never asked him what he would have done if someone bought it before us. 😊

We were on a road trip this past July. We went to my friends wedding and I was joking about us being in their spots in a couple years. He had been texting my mom a lot and when I asked why he got all nervous and smiley. We were at the Grand Canyon the last day of the trip. We were taking a few last pictures before heading home. He hated the first few and insisted we take another which I thought was weird because he usually doesn't care. Walked to a better spot took a few and I thought we was taking out his phone to take pictures he got down on one knee. I started bawling and couldn't believe it. He did an amazing job and I was completely surprised. 😍😊
