Pumping Moms! How much milk???

Question

How much extra milk have you been able to get in a day? I've tried nursing and then pumping 30 min to an hour later. My best is in the morning of course I can get about 1 to 1 1/2 oz then next to nothing on my attempts after. I let him nurse whenever he wants and usually no longer than 2 hours between feeings. Anything else you find works?

I pump exclusively and I get about 40oz a day now at 2 months. I think I have more than if I breastfed because my babygirl only eats 3oz per feeding, and that's just in the past week. Before I was happy if she ate 2.5 per feeding.

My boy is a big eater. I usually pump then feed him after.  While i work i pump and get 17oz total. My dr told me that you have to drink more water nursing than when pregnant.  I usually drunk 4 bottles a day plus other drinks.

I do one or two pumps in the morning hours. Usually can get around 8 oz in two pumps, sometimes one if I'm lucky. I store 4 oz and then save 4 oz for a bedtime feeding. Throughout the day I breastfeed.

It varies quite a bit for me but I can usually get 3-5 ounces in 20-30 minutes from one side. Last week I was fighting a cold and stupidly took pseudo ephedrine, which can (apparently) cause your milk to take quite a bit. For the last couple days I would barely get .5-1 ounce in 30 minutes. I panicked and started eating huge bowls of oatmeal and taking lots of fenugreek, and happily this morning I got 5 ounces from one side.

I didn't realize getting 4-5 ounces was abnormal until I nonchalantly told my lactation consultant that's how much I can get. Sometimes more even... she seemed genuinely surprised. I have no secret... I just feed baby in demand, pump when possible, and eat a diet comprised of a combination of junk food and healthy food. I think I just have a really strong supply. I have to pump sometimes due to engorgment even

If you're nursing you really won't have extra milk unless you're away from your baby for a feed, or have an oversupply (which you don't want because it's painful. I have my babe on the boob every 1-3 hours and will pump one to two times a day (mostly in the morning and at night) and I'll get 2.5-4oz a day extra.

For me it varies greatly. The other day at one point I got less than an ounce from one side but then yesterday I got nine ounces (from both sides) in one pumping session.

I've only been pumping once a day, as we are slowly introducing a bottle, but I have been pumping while nursing. I read it helps =)  I get roughly 3.5oz depending on how long she feeds. I don't have anything to compare it to though!
