I need help with a guy!

I've been hanging out with this guy for about a month now. We are both in highschool and have been to a couple party's together. Every time we drink we end up making out and hanging till about 3-4 in the morning (even if we have to work in that day). We have made out a couple times sober. We talk everyday and hang out almost everyday. He has not asked me out yet and I'm dropping hints. Idk what to do. Is he just to shy? Is he playing me? HELP!!!!
