Do you use blanket when he sleeps? Or is it dangerous? How you keep hin warmn safe while you both are sleeoing? Pictures welcome

I plan to use fleece sleep sacks. My baby is due in November, in maine.  We get tons of snow,  but we also keep our houses very warm so I think some pjs and the fleece sleep sack will be ok

We've just come out of winter where I live and most people here use sleeping bags/sacks. 
Like a top but with a sleeping bag bottom

I swaddled him, and put a blanket on him if it was really cold. When you put bub in the cot, put him so his feet are at the bottom of the cot, the put the blanket so the edge is around the shoulder area and tuck the rest of the blanket at his feet side under the mattress. This means bub cant pull the blanket over his head, or wriggle down under it. This is how we are told to cover sleeping children in our SIDS safe guidelines at the childcare centre i used to work at.

We use sleep sacks! My baby is 15 months old now, plenty old enough not to worry about suffocating in blankets anymore, but he still sleeps in a sleep sack because he would never keep a blanket on

We'll have the heating on so the room stays within the recommended temperature range and put the baby in the appropriate weight of sleeping bag - the ones they sell here include a rating that tells you what temperature of room they are suitable for as well as the baby's size. I think the sleeping bags are very good because the baby can't squirm out of them and end up cold or end up under it like a blanket which can be a suffocation hazard.
