relationship killer?

So I grew up very religious as a child, my whole family and siblings. We went to private school and so on. When I met my husband he was not a religious person. And I guess I never really thought much of it.. untill we got married and now going to church is sometimes like pulling teeth.. Now that's I'm older, I don't say I'm extremely religious, but I do chose to go to church every Sunday. sometimes think if I would have just stayed single and met someone who has the same beliefs I wouldn't feel so angry at him sometimes. Is anyone else in the same boat or had previous experience with their SO?

Why does he need to go with you?

I guess I'm not sure why you are so angry about. Shouldn't it be ok to respect each other's beliefs? If he doesn't go to church, nothing stops you or the kids from going. I don't see the reason that you are angry about this. You don't have to share the same beliefs to be happy.

The fact that you are regretting marrying him because he doesn't regularly go to church sends of red flags that there may be other issues. My husband and I don't agree on everything, but I never for a second thing I should have married someone else

He shouldnt have to go to church with you. Thats your thing. You shouldnt push your beliefs on others.

The bible say for the wife to be an example for the husband that he may follow in thy righteous ways. And vise versa. So, my advice is don't force him to come to church or be religious. Just you continue to go to church, pray and read your bible. The joy, peace and blessings  that he witness God spill on you will help him see how great God is. The bible also warns us not to marry soneone who is unevenly yoked. Now you see why that is. But yeah be a physical example and allow God to do works in your marriage, in you, and in your husband.

Both my boyfriend and I grew up in church. Our families are pretty religious. I'm active and really involved in my faith community but my boyfriend has lost his faith probably a year ago. It's tough because this is a significant part of my life and he isn't involved in it anymore.. I don't know if this is a deal breaker for me yet because we have so much history and I really love him, but I know that differences like this make marriage so much more difficult when it impacts lifestyle. I respect his process and would rather him work out his beliefs/non-belief without any pressure from me or anyone but I would be lying if I said I wasn't hopeful that he would believe again.

If you are worried about his religious beliefs follow after what Peter suggested in 1 Peter 3:1-4. Also the Bible tells you to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12) as well as a sanctified wife will sanctify her husband (1 Cor 7:14). Exercise your faith and follow what the Bible teaches, not the opinions of others (especially strangers)

1 Peter 3:1-4: Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Religion shouldn't be a relationship killer. I regularly attend church. I even worked for/at a church when my SO and I met. He was willing to at least hear what I was saying since clearly was a big part of my life. I never once pushed my beliefs on him. I never forced or made issues about whether he wanted to go or not (when you push people they will pish back) I just continued doing what I needed to and continued to have a relationship with God and continued working for the church both brought great happiness to my life. After a few months he ended up coming with me and we started going as a family with our kids we both have a child from a previous relationship... we still attend church services when doable our church is an hour away from where we live. The kids love going and everything else. But one I never pushed him into going to church he made that decision he got curious. And even if he had decided he never wanted to attend, as long as he was supportive of me wanting to go it wouldn't have changed the way I feel about him.
