progesterone suppositories delay period??

Question

Does anyone take progesterone suppositories,100mg to be exact and had a delayed period? I don't want to stop taking them, but I'm two days late and keep getting BFNs. Any info is helpful! Thanks.

I’m currently taking 200mg nightly and my dr said continue until day 35 of my cycle. If still no positive by then to discontinue since it’s likely no AF because of the progesterone and not that I’m prego. I’m 2 days late and BFN so not feeling too positive. Baby dust to us all!

Yes..I'm given progesterone suppositories to take (prescription) at first sign of a BFP and after a false positive from first response I started them and it delayed my period until I stopped them

Yes they can. Progesterone is usually only given for about 10 days so it has time to wear off so AF can come. (Depending on why they gave it to you)
Progesterone happens after ovulation and slowly starts to decrease if you haven't conceived. When it gets to a certain level is when AF comes. If your body is still getting higher levels of progesterone, it won't do its job by starting your cycle over.
