Pee or amniotic fluid? Did my water just break?

Question

So this morning, I went to go to the bathroom (pee). When I finished, I stood up and started to put my pants on, and there was a gush of liquid (pee?) that came out. The thing is though that I don't think I was still peeing? Did my water just break? I'm 38 weeks and 6 days

I'd say smell it also. 
But I do the pee thing. It's something about the muscles contracting when we stand back up. Fun times!

Keep an eye out for more. If it was your water you will leak continuously.

Maybe. They say amniotic fluid has a sweet odor to it as opposed to a urine smell.

That's happened to me... it's pee.

Smell it. If it is sweet, it's not pee. If it smell like pee, then you know. I have it a lot too. The baby is just squeezing the blatter so not everything can get out. I have to wiggle on the toilet in different positions to make sure I'm done peeing.

What is best to do according to my OB is sit back down and try to pee again, sometimes urine is still in the bladder that we are unaware of and it trickles out when we stand. If you sit back down and are able to go anymore then get up and put on a panty linner and see if it continues to leak, if it does chances are it is a slow leak of your water, if it doesn't it was pee.

I've had this since very early on. I have to wear panty liners because in always leaking pee.

If it continues leaking I would say it's your water. If it just happened that once, it was probably pee.
