Daith piercings and Migraines

😘Bailey😘

I've heard as well as read that daith piercings are good for those who have migraines. Is it true?

I've suffered with migraines for years. I had this done a while back just on my left side. It didn't seem to do anything. It got infected when I tried to change it so I took it out.Recently nothing has been helping my migraines, I have botox and even that wasn't working, so I tried it again. This time I got both done. I had the worst migraine when I went to get them done, I literally don't remember how I got there. I had them done and it was like an instant pressure release. I could feel the pain draining away! It's been 5 days and I have had very limited painkillers. My head felt a little 'bruised' but that's gone over the last few days and now in fine.It might help, or might not. If you're considering it, just do it! You'll never no know unless you try it.

I just got mine done yesterday! I got both sides though. I get migraines almost every day and I don't have one this morning so maybe it's working lol

It hurt a little bit when the needle went through but that's to be expected. After that, I can't even tell they're there unless I touch them or try to put in headphone haha

Did it hurt? I think I'm gonna be more jumpy towards the fact I can't stand weird noises all close to my ears

I asked an acupuncturist, she said that it might help in the short term, but piercing a point just gets rid of the point and traps energy that would be flowing. They do recommend having a needle placed there. Or you can get what's call ear seeds, I keep one on pretty often for anxiety, it's literally a seed on a band aid. For placement a quick google search gives you all the info you could ask for.
