age difference

My husband is worried about his daughter and our baby not bonding. 7 almost 8 years difference. His daughter has two sisters from her mom's side they're 2 and 4 years apart from her, and she's close to them because she lived with her mother for the past 7 years, she now lives with her father and I. My husband is 5 years older than his brother and he's always telling me stories of them playing games, they seemed to get along just fine. Now he has me worried about our two, I thought she would be able to help more with this baby than she did with her sisters and that would be the bonding. He says they won't have anything in common and won't be close. Does anyone have kids this far apart in age that can shed some light on the subject?
