I am 18 and have never had a boyfriend. I've talked to a few people like the pre dating stage but it never lasted longer than a week. I mean I'm not the most attractive person for a thousand mikes but my personality is great I think. I recently moved to a new city for college and honestly think I have a don't talk to me sign on my head because guys won't even talk to me to ask the date. Could I really be that ugly? How do I appear pretty so they'll notice me?

In my experience, the best way to find a partner really is to stop looking. Find other things to do with your time, things you enjoy. Maybe try more social activities to give you more opportunities to run into someone, but while you're actively looking for someone, chances are you're more likely to end up with someone who isn't really all that great with you, because having the mindset of everyone you meet being a potential partner is likely to distort the way you view them, for better or for worse. Just let things fall into place naturally and you'll find someone who's perfect for you without even having to try

Hey, I recently turned 18 too! Honestly, I'm not a 10/10 either in terms of looks and I have my personality flaws but I think it's about clicking with someone who recognises them and likes you for who you are!

I wasn't really "on the hunt" per se, but I was open, and recently found someone who I can really relate to and who understands my schedule. As someone who is more focused on her career to be a vet, I must say that having a passion and ambition is something that the guy I'm seeing appreciates.

All in all, I would recommend focussing on something you're passionate about. Someone who digs that will pop into your life soon enough!
