I've only had two boyfriends so far. My ex whom I dated for 3 years and my current boyfriend who I've been with for a year and a half. A couple of days ago my boyfriend and I noticed small bumps on my labia minora, those bumps have now grown into sores and it burns when I pee. I've set up a gyno appointment (2 weeks from now sadly - they're all booked up) but am convinced this is herpes. My boyfriend currently has the same bumps as well. I'm ashamed and feel disgusted with myself. I don't know whether I had it or he had it (my ex cheated on me, and my bf's ex was kinda around a lot), but I'm scared. I know there's no cure, just treatments that make it go away quicker. I was wondering how everyone else treats this? Is there anybody who also has herpes with their significant other? Will this make it harder for us to be intimate? Or will we be okay since we both have it now? Also I've read that people usually can tell when they're about to get an outbreak, how do you know exactly? My boyfriend keeps insisting everything will be okay, but this is obviously all new to me and I'm scared of not knowing.
