Tubal Ligation at 24 Years Old?!

I think I may be done having kids after this baby...I will have two boys and one girl. My perfect number really would be four but I figure adopting down the road if we decide we want one more might be a really good option. Due to our moral feelings on the subject, I don't feel comfortable taking any kind of prescription birth control so barrier methods are our only reliable option and I feel a bit insecure using only condoms (I can't use them in conjunction with spermicide due to very sensitive skin). My husband is against me getting my tubes tied before we have four children and I definitely don't want him to resent me...any advice/personal experiences dealing with this that you all might could share?
