Have you ever had someone steal your name idea for your baby? Say what happened and how much it mattered to you. I've seen this so
Much From friends and family that I've decided that the only my parents will know when I have my kids until they're born.

Yes. One of my ex's friends stole the entire name! Eden Serenity. I was so sad 😭

No but we nearly picked the same name as another couple who were having a boy two months before us without knowing that they were planning on using it.

My OWN COUSIN!!! When I was pregnant with my first, I had Oakley picked for a boy and also "Wynter" if it was a girl. I told her my name list and she stole it!!! I was so mad. I had already settled on Oakley anyway and it suits him so much (he's 4 now) but I was pissed! Almost 5 years later though, I'm thankful because I don't like that name 😂

It hasn't happened to me but it sort of did to my sister in law!

My brother and his wife named their son after our mothers maiden name Stratton. It's very unique and obviously runs in the family. 
Well a younger couple who runs in the same circles as we all do decided to name their son Stratton too. This couple knows us all very well and our kids names. Every time she sees my SIL she cowards and tries to avoid contact. My sister finally went up to her to say congrats and the girl was like, I heard you named your son Stratton... how weird we both like such a unique name...

My SIL is super polite but she said she was amazed at how far this girl would lie...

Yup. One friend deleted me off everything and won't talk to me... reason completely unknown. At xmas I told her I liked the baby name laurel if we had a girl... well she just had a baby girl and wouldn't you know... her name is laurel.
