Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

After finally going to a doctor earlier this year I found out that I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I hadn't had my period for probably 2 years and my bf and I were having unprotected sex for at least 5 years without getting pregnant. The doctor told me that I needed to lose weight to try to correct the issue and put me on the pill. I've lost 15lbs and my period has been regulated by my birth control now. But the doctor said that infertility can be a side effect of PCOS. My biggest fear is not being able to have children. Does anyone else have PCOS? How do you cope with the possibility of being infertile?
