Moms: joint pain & stiffness?

Question

My baby is 6 months old and for the past few months I keep getting really bad joint/muscle pain & stiffness.

I used to sit cross-legged all the time and get up no problem but now I feel like I'm about 90 when I try to stand up - it is SO sore and stiff!!

My sister in law has an 8month old and my cousin has a 3 month old and they've had similar pains and stiffness.

Just wanted to check if any of you guys have it and when does it go back to normal? (Please tell me it does!!)

I'm 28 with 5 kids it gets better around the year mark except with the babies that i had difficult pregnancies with then the soreness didn't start to get better until about 2 years. My youngest is 6 months and getting out of bed in the morning is so hard.

Yes! I didn't know if it was just aging (I'm 29, and it totally bummed me out that it was happening), but I feel my joint pain the most in the morning. Glad to know I have another thing to blame on hormones

I went to my chiropractor and complained about this. It made me feel so weak physically, it made me scared that I would fall holding my baby. My joints just haven't been the same. My chiro said it's very common. You know how during pregnancy, hormones loosen up your joints in order to allow your body to safely expand and accommodate and push baby out? Well after we have baby, the joints don't really go back the same many time and if the hormone is lingering, it makes it more likely. I got adjusted and have felt a lot better. I still feel them get a little out of wack at times, but no where near as at the beginning. My chiro said some women have severe cases where they even need physical therapy to strengthen and tighten everything back up.  Crazy post partum stuff people don't tell you about lol
