How do you make formula to go out?

My midwife advised to make bottle in house which can be kept for 2 hours. But if out longer than 2 hours how do you make the formula?

What is this new boiling water nonsense? After having my 3rd son 3 weeks ago I was informed I need to boil all of his bottle water for 3 months.. That's just insane, I use nursery water and fill the bottles that I'll need and I have premeasured formula in dispensers!

You can always fill up a bottle of boiled cooled water and carry a flask with boiled water.
Then just make the bottle as you need using the boiling water from the flask, add the formula then add the cooled water to make it the right temperature.
You just need to figure out how many ounces of hot and how many ounces of cold to get to the right temperature for your baby.

Buy premade bottles, they come in a box of 8 premade 2oz bottles and don't need to be refrigerated etc. They're perfect for on the go and I always try to keep some handy for those long outings. If I don't have any I have a 5 oz bottle with 4oz of water in and use a small container to keep the two scoops of formula powder in and just put those in the diaper bag! If I'm going to be gone for a LONG time I make 3 or 4 of those and put them in the diaper bag! But the pre made bottles are a lifesaver for long outings and even sometimes overnight feedings, esp after a long day when you're extremely tired! Cuts out having to make a bottle at night which makes feeding much easier! I get enfamil newborn ones at my Walmart for just under 6 bucks a box, they also have larger bottles of premade formula that you can just pour in a bottle and feed!!!

My sis told me about using the ready made similac bottles we already use.

Just wash those and dry out completely. Then you can use those to mix formula and water on the go.

You can also buy pre-made ready to feed formula for going out. Similac has it in 2oz plastic bottles, Enfamil has it in 2oz and 8oz plastic bottles and Gerber has 8.5oz cartons (you'd have to bring a bottle to pour it into). No water needed! Just shake and serve.

Get one of these to keep scoops of formula in and bottled water in your diaper bag. I used this for my daughter and when she was older i used it for snacks.

They have little containers for formula, generally with three sides, measure the formula out you need and bring bottles of water. 
If you don't have the container I'm sure you can use something else!

Just take a pre measured amount of formula in a container and some water.   That's what I do.
