anyone else doing Baby Led Weaning?

Anyone else skipping the baby food purée stage and just doing baby led weaning (cut up what you're eating super small so they can eat it without choking)

We're going to do a mix of cut up food and puréed. Our LO has a strong gag reflex (won't take a bottle or soother) so we'll probably still try her with something puréed first. Skipping the cereal all together. My iron was great all through pregnancy and we did delayed cord clamping so I'm not worried about hers.

Yes!! We are!! Super excited and can't wait. Little man is so interested in our food... just not sure he is actually ready to eat anything yet. He is 4 months in 2 days!

We are but no small pieces those are more of a chocking hazard we are doing things that as big and can be cut into strips

I'm starting it next week I think. I'm doing cereal right now (started 2 days ago) because I was nervous about her getting enough iron. She loves it. But I think next week I'm going to try sweet potato or avocado sliced into sticks. See how that goes. I'll probably still give her some oat cereal mixed with breast milk because she likes it and I know it's fortified with stuff she needs. Then I can relax a bit about the other foods and we can have fun with it
