feeling baby move in 2 different places at once??

Is this normal? I'm 28 weeks and this has been happening the past few days. I'm assuming it's just a foot and hand or some other combination lol. I felt him move up by my ribs and then down past my belly button at the same time. Can he really be that long already!? Plus I thought babies were usually In a ball in there... I've had 2 in depth scans since I was 18 weeks so I'm pretty sure there's only 1 kid in there!
