Does cycle length affect ability to conceive?

I went off birth control in June and since then I've had longer cycles (31 days and 45 days). Right now I'm on day 40 with no AF in sight. I'm hoping AF shows up on day 45 so that I'm at least consistent on two cycles in a row. Is it a problem if I have a 40ish day cycle so long as it's consistent and regular? Does that affect my fertility/ability to conceive at all?
