How did you financially plan for a baby?

How did you financially plan for a baby? I want to but i keep feeling like we dont make enough money yet. And we need to get our life together. Lol but what if the day never comes where we have enough money and everything perfect. Married with a house. I'd like to think we are ready. Help.

I don't think things need to be "perfect"-- life's not perfect.

To me, being financially ready basically means:
- having the money to execute your child care plan (whether that's one parent staying home or paying for some kind of daycare) without it putting you into a situation where you can't pay rent/mortgage etc.
- having your own place (i.e., not relying on living with parents)
- being able to afford baby's needs from healthcare to diapers & so on

Answer

You can save as much money as possible but unless you are super rich you might not ever be really financially ready as long as you can afford a child and the little what ifs that may come up or emergency situations you should be fine
