concerned about my bf?

So I don't see my bf of 2 years until the weekends because we go to different colleges. I left today for my dorm earlier at night than usual bc he has to get up early for school tomorrow and he said he had to go to bed. I texted him once I got to school (an hour later) that I made it okay and he read that an hour later after I sent it. I called him bc I couldn't sleep, but he didn't answer even though he just read it. He's still logged into everything on my laptop and I looked at his google activity (he knows he's still logged in), and I see he searched for "my ex ruined my dreams". I know his ex has treated him horribly & made him in a way, ruin his dreams, but is he not over her?? Over the summer he went more in depth on this subject and he told me stuff that he said he hasn't told anyone. I've asked him if he's over her and he's said yes & seems very upset with her. I just don't know how to address this since I'm not seeing him for 5 days and it'll have to be over the phone or text. What do I do??
