I need advice.

I'm 18 years old and this guy (26) and I are getting very close. We are kind of in a relationship but then again not really. I just really need advice. Let's just address the elephant in the room; he is 8 years older than I am. I really like him and it seems that the feeling is mutual. He's a real good guy. Should I go for it?
