So once your 6weeks do you need to see your Ob Doctor for your first appt?

Do you have to see your ob doctor to check you for your first 6 week appt or can it be any doctor at any clinic who can take you for yoir your 6 week pp?

Why would u not want to follow up with ur usual ob??

I work in a family medicine office and our doctors do not do postpartum checks, you would need to see your OB or midwife for that. Because I went to a large group, the doctor that delivered my son did not work out of the clinic I went to during my pregnancy. I could have gone to her clinic, in a different suburb or the clinic I went to regularly. 
I am in the US, not sure if that makes a difference.

I have my 6 week follow up on Monday with my obgyn. I have a primary doctor who I've seen all my life for routine check ups, but I've seen my obgyn since I became pregnant and feel like she knows my body more than the other doctor since she has seen me so much over the past year. You could follow up with either doctor though. I'd go with whoever makes you more comfortable.

I'm in the UK and I just seen any general doctor, I haven't seen my actual doctor since I was young as he is so popular and has many clients.

I'm in UK. My 6 week is with a general doctor. Not one I've had before smd that's how we do it her as we don't have specific obs. So o guess if we all do then yes you should be fine to.
