Epidural/Spinal

I am due to go for my scheduled cesarean on Thursday and I am terrified of the spinal part. This is my 3rd cesarean last one being 9 years ago. You would think I wouldn't be but I am... i just remember having to sit hunched over and being told not to move due to the risk of being paralyzed. It wasn't the most exciting experience with anesthesiology 😔

Has anyone had one recently? Was it painful? Do they use numbing topicals to numb the area before?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how painful was it?

I'm kind of laughing at how pathetic i may sound but I'm being transparent.
