How long does it take?

Hey guys me and my husband have been ttc since March and have not had any luck I am in my fertile days, I will take a test in 12 days, really keeping my hopes up, but I don't want to be disappointed again for the 8th time. Has anyone ever had this issue? Or how soon when ttc did ya'll become pregnant. Or what are ways to become pregnant like positions, drinks, food etc.
