Induction Date

For my 39 week appointment today, I was told we needed to schedule an induction day/appointment just in case baby girl wants to come super late. I'm due October 11th and they chose October 18th (what would be week 41) for me. When I asked if I could chose what day I wanted to be induced if needed, they said no. Their reasoning was basically because they like to run on a schedule and i was shocked and kind of upset!
