How many Ultrasounds?!

Question

Wondering how many ultrasounds is the normal number to have. I had my first at 10 weeks. 2nd and possibly last scheduled for 20 weeks. My doctor said they only do one after that (weeks 25-30) if needed. Thanks! 😊

Totally depends on the doc. I had one at 8, 12 (two - at obgyn and the nuchal translucency), 16 (wasn't supposed to but she was testing a new machine and i got the chance to see my son so why not!!), 20, won't have another  till like 36 or something as long as there are no issues

With Medicaid they only want you to have 2 which are necessary for a healthy pregnancy. I hate it!! Seems like they would do at least 3. But that's how it works here in North Carolina.

I only had 2 with my first 2 kids. However, this little one is being difficult (was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage) and is being monitored more closely so I've already had 4 (I'm 18 weeks 3 days).

Here in Florida,  I had 1 at 8 weeks,  my next is at 19 weeks and they said o e more at 37 weeks

Depends on doctor and country. Only one is standard in Norway if there are no risks identified. Happens at 18w

Yep totally normal. Unless you have a private OB that might scan you more regularly.
I've just had my 2nd scan at 19 weeks and that will probably be my last. The doctors only tend to do another scan in 3rd Trimester if there's an issue.

One is normal. Sometimes Drs will do an early one but mostly it's just the anatomy ultrasound that's necessary
