I got it at my shower off my registry. I put it together and I've tested it on my friend's newborn  (since mine is not here yet)
I'm impressed by it. Screaming newborn went quiet and feel asleep within 10 minutes of being placed it. The standard white noises that it comes with are bizzare, However,  u can plug in any mp3 player /ur phone etc..and play any sounds/music/ur own voice etc etc.. 
Based on what I've experienced with mine,  I think it's a complete life saver for moms with fussy newborns...especially if u need to cook,  clean,  take a shower..u put them in it and keep an eye on them while still being able to fully function...
I'm just hopping MY DAUGHTER will respond as good as my friend's baby..

I think it can be a hit or miss. Some babies will love it, some will hate it.

I am due in feb 2017 but decided to get it early so that my sister's newborn baby can use it now - it can only be used for about 4 months; we only put him in twice so far but he seemed to like it! What's very nice about it - the speed adjustment - makes the baby sway super slow - comparing to many swings and rockers that make me want to throw up just from looking at them and how fast they swing the baby 😩😩😩

It all really comes down to the individual baby... We purchased ours a week after our LO was born hoping he would love it as much as I did.... We gave it 60 days to see if baby would take to if. Our LO did not. Everytime we would place him in it he would become upset after a very short time as time went by and we tried it again he became upset that the mobile did not move (our LO loves moving mobiles) and again would not stay.. In the end we ended up returning the Mamaroo as it was just collecting dust at our place. 
If you are thinking of getting it my suggestion would be to do so once baby arrives (add it to your registry though) we did so purchasing afterwards we had a discount and because it was in our registry we had extra time to return the item.

Anyone have this? Worth the money?
